2016 Backlash matches and predictions

Becky Lynch vs. Nikki Bella vs. Carmella vs. Natalya vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Naomi in a six-pack challenge for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship

       Becky Lynch is the favorite to emerge as the first-ever SmackDown Women's Champion Sunday night, but you could make a compelling argument for most of the five other participants to win. Eva Marie's 30-day suspension still isn't over, so she shouldn't be involved in any sort of interference.
        Probably Becky is going home with the championship.
 

The Usos vs. The Hype Bros in a Tag Team tournament semifinal

The Usos lost their tag title tournament match but knocked Chad Gable out of action with a leg injury last week, giving them a second chance to advance to the finals against The Hype Bros.
   I go for the usos

The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

Ziggler called out The Miz following the champion's fiery argument with Daniel Bryan on Talking Smack, setting up a title match at Backlash.

      I go for Miz

Heath Slater and Rhyno vs. the winner of the tag tournament semifinals for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship

Slater is still wrestling for a SmackDown contract, which he'll receive if he wins the tag tournament with Rhyno.

Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton

Wyatt was noticeably absent at SummerSlam, and while there hasn't been much time to build a storyline with Orton, it's good to see him back in a major pay-per-view match. [UPDATE]: There are numerous reports that this match could be in jeopardy as Orton may not have been medically cleared after being busted open by Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.

AJ Styles vs. Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Championship

Styles has been touting himself as the "face that runs the place" since beating John Cena at SummerSlam, which means he'll have to win the title in order to maintain that persona. Styles is 0-for-2 in PPV title matches so far in WWE, but it might be time for him to finally go over. 

Kickoff show: Baron Corbin vs. Apollo Crews

Daniel Bryan added this match at the beginning of the Backlash kickoff show.
