Interesting Facts About The Vigina, a must read for every woman

Interesting Facts About The Vigina :

Women are wonderful for all different kinds of reasons-- their smart, resourceful, sensitive, strong, and all of the above. Still, one of the biggest things they've got going for them? The vagina, an amazing biological feat that exists below the belt line.

Let's not pull any punches here: The vagina is weird, wonderfully complex sex organ that's just as nuanced as the people who have them. As common as they might seem, vaginas hold all kinds of secrets and tricks that you probably didn't learn about in health class.

Below, we explore a few things that make the vagina so special, and it's certainly not the typical stuff that you'd expect. From size expansion to diverse orgasms to wacky wonderful healing powers, there's simply no limit to what the vagina can do. Leave your boring, sex-ed-approved thoughts about the vagina at the door, and enter into a world of vaginal madness that will surely delight and mystify. #7 is actually kind of mind-blowing.

#1. It expands during sex.
It's called vaginal tenting, and it's when the inner two-thirds of your vagina increase in length and width when you're aroused. That explains why when you're, say, putting a tampon in, it can feel uncomfortable -- but during sex, you're ready to go.

#2. Not all vaginas are created equal.
They come in all shapes and sizes. For example, some clitorises are quite close to the vaginal opening, while others are further apart. Labia also tend to be quite diverse.

#3. The vagina is the first to know when it's time to get pregnant.
Unsurprisingly, the vaginal is very receptive to ovulation. During that time of the month, the cervical mucus during ovulation is clear, rubbery, and stretchy.

#4. When it comes to vaginas, there is no normal.
As we mentioned before, they come in all different shapes and sizes. So, remember: There's no wrong or right way to have one.

#5. It's basically a pleasure palace.
The vagina is a complicated beast: You can actually have four different kinds of orgasms. What are they? Clitoral, vaginal, blended, and multiple -- and let's not forget about the good ol' G-spot.

#6. The clitoris is very, very, very sensitive.
The clitoris has more nerve endings than anywhere else on the body -- 8,000 more nerve endings than the penis, to be exact.

#7. Your diet can affect your vaginal smell.
Though there isn't too much research on the topic, anecdotal evidence suggests that your scent can vary during ovulation and even when you eat something pungent like garlic. Some say that when you eat pineapple, your vagina smells (and tastes) pretty good.

#8. It can handle a pretty intense workout.
Kegels are seriously effective at strengthening the surrounding pelvic floor muscles for more intense orgasms -- and if you've got a vagina, you should be exercising it just as much as the rest of your body.

#9. It bounces back quickly.
If you don't believe us, we've got one word for you: Childbirth. A10-plus-pound baby can come through it, and it goes back to normal. Sure, the healing process takes six months -- but considering what it has gone through, that's pretty impressive.

#10. It's pretty damn impressive.
Think about it: It brings pleasure, pain, and can even bring atn being. In short, it's pretty awe-inspiring. That's why we think it's crucial to stay on top of everything going on below the belt.

The hole beside your phone's camera, here is what it means

Ever Noticed The Small Hole Next To Your Phone Camera? It’s There For A Really Cool Reason

There is always something new that you can learn about your phone. The latest, is the hole somewhere around the camera lens and the flash. Ever noticed its existence? Ever wondered what it's there for? Thought it served some inexplicable purpose?

Is it not a pet peeve to find out what certain things do and why they're there? In this case, it's not a button and neither is it part of the camera. It's a microphone, just not your ordinary microphone. What does it do then? There is an explanation for almost everything, if only you have the will to find out.

WWE Bo Dallas arrest confirmed

WWE News: Police confirm Bo Dallas's arrest:
It hadn’t been a very good weekend for WWE Superstar Bo Dallas when he was kicked out of a flight from Dallas-Fort Worth Airport to Mexico for being intoxicated. He had behaved improperly on the flight and hurled abuses at the pilot and other passengers when the former came to calm him down. He had reportedly been drinking at the airport bar with Charlotte and the Usos prior to his flight.
After his eviction from the flight, the officers went on to search for Bo and later escorted him away from the terminal. The superstar was also reported to have wandered off when the airport staff tried to book a later flight for him. It was not known at that time if he was arrested but Dallas Airport Police have recently confirmed that he was indeed arrested on Friday night.
When officers approached Bo, whose real name is Taylor Rotunda, he was slumped over in a chair looking at his phone. When he got up, Dallas was reported to have demonstrated very poor dexterity including him dropping his phone. The report also says he strongly smelled of alcohol.
Rotunda told officers he had been drinking and when they asked how much, he said, “I’m not really planning on driving tonight.” Based on their observations, officers determined his level of intoxication was a danger to himself and others. So they placed him under arrest.
Earlier during the weekend, Steven Bell from the Late shift Podcast tweeted saying that Bo Dallas was drunk in the flight. He also claimed that he was on the phone with his wife when he heard the wrestler singing The Lion King’s “Circle of Life” opening in the terminal. In his drunken state, Bo had bad-mouthed the pilot and told him to go f**k himself. He had also called Seth Rollins a d*ck.
The WWE has not issued a statement on the arrest yet and it would be interesting to see how WWE react to this incident. Keeping in mind the suspension spree the company has been in, Dallas may be looking at a good time away from the company, which is bad news for all the Bo-lievers out there. The 26-year-old former NXT champion hasn’t made much progress on the main roster yet since moving up from NXT.
He had been drafted to the Raw roster during the brand extension and draft. He was drafted in the 10th round and was the 50th overall pick.
Bad times for the Bo- lievers

Things you didn't know about your penis,No.4 will surprise you

here are some interesting things you did not know about your penis:

by Admin.
1. You can deadlift with your dong.
The practice of “iron crotch” is a legitimate—albeit niche—form of kung fu. In his martial arts studio in Los Angeles, Grandmaster Tu Jin-Sheng teaches students how to lift more weight with straps wrapped around their flaccid penises than you can bench press.

In the early 2000s, he gained some media attention for towing a tractor trailer with his junk, and a couple years later followed up that stunt by pulling an 8,000-pound World War II-era fighter plane down a runway for the National Geographic.

Jin-Sheng claims that in addition to improving your virility and the length of your penis, strapping heavy weights to your groin also relieves a variety of ailments from diabetes to heart disease—and it’s safe to say those claims haven’t been confirmed.

2. Your erection can be graded.
Tumescence—you know, the stiffness of your soldier—can be measured on a four-step scale: Bigger but not yet rigid; not hard enough for penetration; firm for intercourse, but not rock-hard; and fully engorged.

The “erection hardness scale” was developed by scientists who were testing the drug Viagra during the 1990s. The primary method used at the time, the International Index of Erectile Function, asked men to rate their boner based on their self-confidence, and how often they could have sex.

But while the original study showing that Viagra works was going to press, the editors of the New England Journal of Medicine suggested a simpler way of quantifying erection outcome data, says study author Irwin Goldstein, M.D.

3. Men are just as sensitive as women.
We’re talking about sensitivity to touch, of course. When it comes to sensation on your genitals, men and women are almost identical.
Separate studies at Cornell University (for women) and Michigan State University (for men) used a scientific device that measures the lightest amount of pressure a person can feel on their skin. For guys, the most sensitive areas were the tip of the foreskin, and the area on the underside of the penis just below the glans called the frenulum.
For the ladies, the most receptive regions were the inner labia.

But according to the sensitivity scale, men and women were in a dead heat. Both genders responded to the same level of touch: Just two-tenths of a gram of pressure could be felt.
1
4. Bacteria on your junk can lead to AIDS.
You’re probably aware that your colon is full of different bacteria, most of which are helpful. The tip of your penis also harbors its own colony of bacteria, but those tiny critters may affect your risk of HIV infection.

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University have shown that uncircumcised men harbor harmful bacteria underneath their foreskin that thrives in the oxygen-starved environment.

“The anaerobic bacteria or other organisms there cause inflammation, which attracts the immune system’s T-cells that HIV targets and makes them more susceptible to infection,” says study author Ronald Gray, M.D., a professor of epidemiology at Johns Hopkins.

Of course, if you’re uncircumcised and want to avoid STDs, you could simply wear a condom.

5. Morning wood can hurt.
Whether you’re dreaming of a sexy encounter or not, you probably wake up ready for action on most mornings. In fact, men typically experience between three and five full erections at night, typically during the deep, rapid-eye movement phase of sleep.

So imagine then how miserable it would be to become afflicted with “sleep-related painful erections.”
It’s a rare condition (a little more than 30 cases have been reported so far) in which the erections you achieve in dreamland—but not necessarily the ones you get while awake—are painful instead of pleasurable, and they hurt enough to wake you up.

Doctors still aren’t sure why exactly these erections cause pain during sleep.
6. Your penis tricks women into thinking it's a monster.
Chalk it up to wishful thinking or memory’s way of making things seem better than reality, but a recent study found that women remember penises as being larger than they really were.

Researchers at the University of California had 41 gals handle a 3D-printed dildo for 30 seconds. Then the study participants completed a short survey, after which they had to reach into a bin of 32 other fake penises and pick the one they held before.

As it turns out, the women generally pulled out a phony phallus that was bigger than the original one. Score!

)

7. You can pierce your prick as many times as you'd like.
The opening of your urethra at the tip of your penis has a name: the meatus. (Add your own joke here.)

If that doesn’t seem to be an adequate number of holes in your family jewels, you could take after Rolf Bucholz, a German man who holds the official record for the most body piercings.

According to the official count by the Guinness World Records, out of Bucholz’s 453 piercings, 278 are on his genitals.

8. Some guys like getting kicked in the balls.
A swift kick to the crotch is probably at the bottom of the list of things you want to have happen to you during sex. But for some guys, “ballbusting” is a sado-masochistic sexual fetish—part of the menu of services you might hire a dominatrix to perform.

Close to 10,000 members (including men and women) of the kinky social networking site FetLife list it as a personal interest, and there are 33,000 results for “ballbusting” on YouTube. (Search at your own risk.)

As in all things weird and sexual, the Japanese even have a specific name for it:

9. A twisted testicle can leave you with one nut.
First, the good news: Your balls can’t get tangled with each other like your iPod earbuds, since your scrotum contains two separate compartments divided by a thin membrane.

What can happen, however, is an individual testicle can spin around, which twists the spermatic cord until it cuts off blood flow. It’s incredibly painful, and “testicular torsion” can cost you the nut if not treated quickly enough.

While it’s most likely to occur when your gonads are developing either as an infant or a teenager, a British study reported that cyclists are at increased risk of testicular torsion due to the rocking motion they make while seated on bike saddle.
10. Erections cause you to make bad decisions.
Back in 2005, scientists at MIT and Carnegie Mellon University had 35 men answer a survey both in a normal state and while masturbating to what the researchers called “a high but sub-orgasmic level of arousal.”

When the men were turned on, they rated just about everything the scientists asked about as much more sexually attractive, including women’s shoes, the idea of a guy-guy-girl threesome, and even the smell of cigarette smoke.

At the same time, during masturbation the guys said they were willing to work harder to get laid, whether it was as simple as telling your date “I love you” to get her to sleep with you, or the immoral act of intentionally getting her more drunk.

That doesn’t necessarily mean all guys think with their penis, but being horny has more sway over your decisions that you probably realized.

Nigerian Music Industry Plans To Mark a "No Music Day"

There May Be A No Music Day In Nigeria, Read :
By Admin.
The Nigerian music industry has stepped up plans to mark the annual ‘No Music Day’ across Nigeria, next month. Themed “The Monetisation of Musical Content in the Digital Space” the event is a day the music industry has dedicated to bring the attention of the Nigerian nation to the widespread infringement of the rights of songwriters, composers, performers, music publishers, record labels and other stakeholders in the music industry.

Speaking on the theme of this year’s event, Chairman of Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), Chief Tony Okoroji  said “Every year, in marking ‘No Music Day’, our objective has been to engage the Nigerian people and the various governments on the potential contributions of Nigerian music to the socio-economic development of the Nigerian nation and the necessity to fully deploy the substantial comparative advantage which our nation possesses in this area so as to provide hundreds of thousands of well-paying jobs to the teeming unemployed Nigerian youths.

I have no doubt that if the right environment is created in Nigeria, the enormous creative energy exhibited by our young people will be released to the amazement of the world” he said.

Dwayne "the rock" Johnson"s movies you have not seen

Here are some the rock"s movies that you probably missed,or maybe not>wink<:

Can you smell what The Rock is cooking? If so, you must be sniffing the sweet scent of 17 upcoming movies...

Got a movie you’re trying to make? Why not put Dwayne Johnson in it? It’s what everyone else seems to be doing, and it’s bound to earn you a fervent flurry of publicity. The man who it may not be acceptable to call ‘The Rock’ anymore has a whopping 17 films on his slate at the moment, though, so he may struggle to fit you in. But is there a movie star who's working harder right now?
The Rock's Kevin Hart comedy team-up Central Intelligence is in cinemas now, and after that Mr Johnson will be bringing us this massive pile of movies...

THE DEFINITES

Baywatch

Currently in post-production, the cinematic Baywatch revival is another example of The Rock being injected in to bring new life to an established franchise (see: Fast & Furious, The Mummy, G.I. Joe and Journey To The Centre Of The Earth. They don’t call him Franchise Viagra for nothing!).
The mighty Mr Johnson will appear alongside Zac Efron and his San Andreas co-star Alexandra Daddario. Horrible Bosses’ Seth Gordon directed the movie, and a comedic tone is expected. Probably some muscles, too. Baywatch is due in cinemas May 2017.

Doc Savage

Shane Black has snapped up The Rock to play a doc. Doc Savage, that is, the world’s first superhero (who debuted for DC Comics way back in 1933 and was portrayed on the silver screen by Ron Ely in 1975’s Doc Savage: The Man Of Bronze).
The new movie will be set in the 1930s. Sony Pictures and Original Film are backing it. Dwayne Johnson is very enthusiastic. He said this on Facebook:
“Doc was physically and mentally trained from birth by his father and a team of scientists to become the perfect human specimen with a genius level intellect. His heightened senses are beyond comprehension. He can even identify a women's perfume from half a mile away. He is literally the master of everything. But here's the #1 reason I'm excited to become Doc Savage.. HE'S A F*CKING HILARIOUS WEIRDO! Confidently, yet innocently he has zero social graces whatsoever due to his upbringing so every interaction he has with someone is direct, odd, often uncomfortable and amazingly hilarious.”
This one is likely to shoot in 2017, once Shane Black is done filming The Predator.

Fast 8

The eighth film in the Fast & Furious franchise – and the fourth one to feature The Rock – will see Dwayne Johnson sporting an impressive goatee (see above). This time, F Gary Gray of Straight Outta Compton will direct. We don’t know much about the plot at this stage. At a guess: it will involve cars.
“When you strip a man of all he has. All that’s important to him, you force him to return to his roots. And sometimes that’s a very dangerous and twisted place,” teased Mr Johnson on Instagram. Fast 8 will speed onto our screens (arf) in April 2017.

Journey 3: From The Earth To The Moon

Brad Peyton of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and San Andreas will reunite yet again with Dwayne Johnson for Journey 3: From The Earth To The Moon. An American release date has been set for 16th June 2017, and Josh Hutcherson and Anna Colwell are expected to return alongside The Rock. We suspect this one has been postponed though: whilst the project is a live one, filming would need to start fairly quickly to hit that date. And Mr Johnson is busy.
The last film ended with a book being opened and a dramatic camera swoop up to the moon. Given that and the title of this third instalment, it seems fair to assume this one will have a lunar setting. Also, talk is already afoot regarding a fourth film in the franchise, but that surely depends on how successful this third one is. We’ll keep you posted.

Jumanji

This one’s a sure thing - and it's next on The Rock's to-do list. It’s got a director (Sex Tape’s Jake Kasdan), it’s got a release date (28th July 2017), it’s got no less than five credited writers and it’s got one hell of a cast.
Dwayne Johnson (of course), Jack Black and Kevin Hart will star in this reimagining of the classic board-game-based movie. And recent rumours point towards incumbent Spider-Man Tom Holland joining the fray as well. Via Instagram, The Rock has promised that there will also be “one bad ass girl” among his “Jumanji Breakfast Club”.

Moana

Moana is a Disney animation all about a young navigator (voiced by Auli'i Cravalho), who sets sails in search of a fabled island. Dwayne Johnson portrays the legendary demi-god Maui, who joins Moana on her adventure. Ron Clements and John Musker directed this one, which reaches UK shores (arf again!) in December 2016.

Rampage

Set to shoot later this year, Rampage is the film adaptation of the classic 1986 arcade game of the same name (if you're unfamiliar, it's basically about monsters who trample cities while armed forces attempt to stop them. At the moment, it's unclear if Dwayne Johnson is playing a man or a mutated beast).
The Rock has assembled his whole San Andreas team for this one - director Brad Peyton, producer Beau Flynn and writer Carlton Cuse (who’s worked with his Colony co-creator Ryan Condal on the script). It could be a lot of fun, we reckon.

San Andreas 2

Dwayne Johnson is reteaming with director Brad Peyton and the producer Beau Flynn for a second San Andreas movie. Most of the supporting cast are believed to be returning too, but scriptwriter Carlton Cuse will not. This time, the screenplay will come from Neil Widener and Gavin James.
The first San Andreas movie earned an impressive $473 million worldwide in 2015, making it a surprise hit and justifying New Line Cinema’s interest in a sequel. There’s no word of a release date yet, but this one seems fairly certain to us. Expect a more global focus, more earthquakes, and perhaps some more shirking of responsibility from The Rock's character.

Unnamed “buddy action comedy”

At the end of last year, New Line Cinema picked up an untitled project from director Will Gluck (2013’s Annie, Easy A) and writer Dave Callaham (The Expendables, Doom). Dwayne Johnson and his frequent producer Beau Flynn are both attached.
The as-yet-unnamed film been described by Deadline as “something of a throwback to those mismatched buddy action comedies like Lethal Weapon, Midnight Run and 48 Hours.” With a studio and a full creative team lined up, it seems like a sure thing despite not having a title yet.

Big Trouble In Little China

John Carpenter’s 1986 gem Big Trouble In Little China is being remade, with The Rock at centre stage and some superhero scriptwriters involved behind the scenes (Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz of Thor and X-Men: First Class are penning the screenplay). Dwayne Johnson is also producing this one, which has backing from 20th Century Fox.
"I loved reading the reactions from the fans, that they were so polarized - I'm the same way", The Rock said to Entertainment Weekly. "My response is that I come to the project with nothing but love and respect for the original, which is why we want to bring on John Carpenter".
It remains to be seen whether Carpenter will come on board in some capacity, and at the moment no director is attached. But with major studio backing and two experienced writers, this film seems very likely to be made.

“Die Hard In China”

From little China to actual China, Dwayne Johnson will reunite with director Rawson Marshall Thurber for a movie that is currently being described as “Die Hard in China” (The Rock Vs. insurmountable odds, against a Chinese backdrop, essentially). We assume it’ll get an actual title at some stage.
Thurber - who helmed Central Intelligence, the upcoming comedy featuring Johnson and Kevin Hart - is writing the script as well as directing. Universal are committed to distributing the movie.

THE LIKELIES

Alpha Squad Seven

DreamWorks apparently acquired the rights to this one after a hefty bidding war, but have yet to hire a director. Alpha Squad Seven is a sci-fi action comedy set in space, from producer Beau Flynn (Journey 2, San Andreas, Hercules) and writers Nick Palmer and Jeremiah Friedman (both of whom are also working on The Karate Kid 2 at the moment).
Alpha Squad Seven is believed to have franchise potential (of course it does, The Rock is in it), and Mr Johnson will star alongside someone else at the heart of the film. We don’t know who that person is yet, but the movie is a ‘two-hander’ apparently.

The Janson Directive

The starting point for Universal’s planned Robert Ludlum cinematic universe - which could create even more work for The Rock if it's successful - The Janson Directive will star Dwayne Johnson, presumably as the protagonist and ex-Navy SEAL Paul Janson.
This being Ludlum, you can expect plenty of thrills and spills. James Vanderbilt of Zodiac and The Amazing Spider-Man is working on the script, and is also teaming with a group of writers to plot out the future of this cinematic universe. Again, this one will seem like more of a certainty when a director and/or a release date and/or a few more cast members are confirmed.

Jungle Cruise

Following in the footsteps of Pirates Of The Caribbean, Disney are planning to turn Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise theme park ride into a big screen blockbuster. The movie will apparently be a period piece, taking inspiration from Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn’s The African Queen.
Dwayne Johnson is attached to star, but there’s no director confirmed yet. When there is, we might bump this up into the ‘definite’ section of this article. The project has been bubbling away since 2007. As well as snapping up Johnson, Disney has recently hired John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (FocusCrazy Stupid Love) to pen a script.

Shazam!

Dwayne Johnson was attached to play DC Comics antihero Lobo for quite some time, but eventually jumped ships to another DC/Warner Bros project by the name of Shazam. He’s nabbed the role of the Black Adam; either an ancient Egyptian villain or a reformed antihero, depending on which comics you’re reading.
The film has been announced for April 2019, as part of Warner Bros’ sprawling slate for its DC Extended Universe. There’s been a lot of reshuffling going on with behind the scenes at the DCEU recently, but the Shazam script for the film is still being worked on. It "can be grounded and have real stakes but can still be fun”, says producer Hiram Garcia.
We’ll believe Shazam is a real possibility when a director and/or a few more cast members come on board.

Son Of Shaolin

The Rock is definitely involved in Sony's big screen adaptation of the Son Of Shaolin graphic novel, but only as a producer at the moment. More time and more money may need to be found if the studio want him to appear on screen as well.
Deadline describes this one - which is based on a not-yet-published comic by Jay Longino - as a ‘contemporary Kung-Fu story’. We'll let you know as more details come to light.

THE RUMOURS

Fast & Furious Spin Off

“Maybe it’s a spinoff movie”, suggested Dwayne Johnson on the topic of Hobbs’ future after Fast 8 (via Instagram). It’s also worth mentioning, though, that he also said “Maybe it's more #FF movies. Or hell maybe Hobbs just gets on his motorcycle and rides off into the sunset never to be seen again.”
But, indeed, the idea of Fast & Furious spin-off movies has been in the ether for a while. “We’re certainly in conversations about how we can expand the franchise now,” said Universal’s Donna Langley back in November 2015. “It’s an ensemble cast and there’s room to bring characters in and out.”
As it stands, though, a solo movie for Johnson’s Hobbs is yet to be officially confirmed. You can bet that important people are talking about it, though.

The Rundown 2

Peter Berg’s 2003 action comedy The Rundown – which starred The Rock as a bounty hunter - could be getting a sequel. Berg said in 2013 that he had “just met with writers, so we’re trying to do it. I really want to do it. I’ve talked to Dwayne. I have an actor in mind that I can’t say that I want to work with Dwayne on it, and we want to do it".
Since then, things have gone very quiet on this front, hence the positioning of The Rundown 2 in the ‘rumours’ section of this article. We’ll let you know, of course, if we hear any updates.

Wolf Man

Universal is apparently eyeing Mr Johnson for its big screen relaunch of the Wolf Man franchise. As part of the much-talked-about classic monsters shared universe, the idea here would be for The Rock to embrace the wolf by portraying the central character.
It seems plausible, as he's appeared in a monster movie before, but it remains to be seen whether there's space in The Rock's schedule for this. As there's been no formal announcement, we're leaving Wolf Man in the rumours section of this article for now.
We’ll keep adding more and more films to this as Dwayne Johnson continues to work every single second of every single day (and then some)...

4 Reasons Dwayne Johnson Should Host the Oscars

HERE ARE FOUR REASONS WHY DWAYNE "THE ROCK" JOHNSON SHOULD HOST THE OSCARS:

Vin Diesel inspired a lot of raised eyebrows last week when he said that his cars-go-boom sequel Furious 7 ought to be a serious Oscar contender. Does a franchise distinguished by muscle tees, muscle cars, and even more muscular actors have any business getting near the Academy Awards? I vote yes, though not for the reasons Diesel might think: Instead of putting Furious 7 in the Best Picture race, I’d like to hand the Oscar-host steering wheel to Diesel’s co-star, Dwayne Johnson. Sure, it might seem like an unlikely fit at first, but once you mull over Johnson’s Oscar-hosting bona fides, I suspect you’ll want to get onboard this idea train, too. (In true Fast & Furious fashion, you’ll board the train via souped-up Dodge Chargers that are shot out of a cannon dropped from the Space Shuttle.) Here are four reasons why the man formerly known as the Rock should be considered for the Academy's big gig.
He’d be good at it!
As his Saturday Night Live stint proved again this weekend, Johnson is one of our most game performers, a talented and appealing hunk who's willing to do whatever is required of him, with an absence of ego that's striking given his massive frame and fame. Sure, an Oscar monologue might not be the best use of Johnson's skills, but a top-of-show montage that drops him into the nominated movies would be exactly the right way to leverage his appeal. Imagine putting him into Miles Teller's role in Whiplash, where even the fearsome J.K. Simmons would be too terrified to lash out at him, or zapping Johnson into Birdman's tighty-whities sequence, where his massively muscular frame would put over the joke that Neil Patrick Harris couldn't: When Johnson is ambling around Times Square in his undies, what's to be embarrassed about? You could even draft former Oscar hosts to bounce off of Johnson for short segments: I'd love to see what he and Steve Martin would do together, or how he might crush Ellen's selfie-taking smartphone, or even give Anne Hathaway the committed partner she deserved. Hell, if he can get bodyslammed in front of an unruly live audience, he can land a joke about Harvey Weinstein in a room filled with people in tuxes.
Because the Oscars are #sowhite.
The Academy took a lot of flak last year for snubbing Selma director Ava DuVernay and her star, David Oyelowo, especially since the acting lineup was comprised of 20 lily-white nominees. In a transparent attempt to mitigate that controversy, the Oscars signed up several nonwhite actors (including Johnson) to serve as presenters, but the hosting gig still went to a white dude, as it so often does. Since Chris Rock’s 2005 Oscar stint, the telecast has been hosted by no people of color (and only two women); isn’t it time to broaden that pool of talent, especially if it means booking one of the stars from the Fast & Furious series, perhaps the best example of a successful multicultural franchise that Hollywood can boast?

He’d bring in a younger audience.
The elusive young male demographic remains the Holy Grail for any Oscar producer, but recent hosts like Neil Patrick Harris and Ellen DeGeneres haven’t exactly arrived at the Oscar dais with a loyal audience of dudes. Ex-wrestling champ Dwayne Johnson would provide exactly that, and he’d certainly be a classier bro-outreach pick than the smirky Seth MacFarlane. With the Oscars leaning so indie as of late, a host like Johnson would help counterbalance that tilt, providing a reason to tune in beyond a passel of little-seen nominees.

You root for him.
It shouldn’t shock us that Johnson is a good Saturday Night Live host — he’s done it several successful times, after all — but no matter how prolific he is, or how much he impressed you in the last sketch he did, each new joke that he lands arrives like a pleasant surprise. It isn’t simply because we’re shocked to find out how capable he is (though, certainly, plenty of former athletes have aced their SNL stints in part thanks to lowered expectations). It’s because Johnson has such generous, gentle charisma that we root for him to nail those jokes, and we’re delighted to find out in the end that he didn’t even need our help. That ability to elevate subpar material through sheer charm comes in handy whenever Johnson toplines Saturday Night Live, and it’s the sort of thing that ought to be mandatory in an Oscar host. Other Oscar emcees have inspired a crossed-arms skepticism from critics; Johnson would be the first you’d cross your fingers for.

Are you an Artist?,Here is how you can make money with your music online

MAKE REAL CASH SELLING YOUR MUSIC ONLINE WITH THE FEW EASY STEPS BELOW,EVEN IF YOUR ARE STILL UPCOMING:

Promote and sell your art on social networks

The easiest way to get your art out there is to focus on social media for both selling and marketing. Let’s look at how you can start selling on the most popular social networks out there.
Facebook store
Wondering why should you set up your art store on Facebook? Simply because of one fact – Facebook is the most popular social network and it has over 1.5 billion active users each month. These are all potential customers that might be interested in your art. Well, not all of them, but even tiny portion would give you the income you wanted. The easiest way to do this is to use an e-commerce app that can build your store almost automatically.
First, you will have to create a Facebook page for your store and, once you’ve done that, simply go to “your store” button and set it up. Once you’ve done this, people will be able to purchase products directly from your Facebook page.
The next step is to build your audience. You can do this by inviting friends to like your page, sharing or joining groups with art lovers where you can engage potential clients and promote your store. You can also pay to advertise your page and get more likes from targeted people.
Twitter buy button
The recent integration of the Twitter “buy button” has made it possible to drive organic conversions on the second largest social network. The button is included next to your each Tweet and it’s quite easy for users to click and buy a product they are interested in. However, you will have to build a base of followers to whom you can offer your products. Start following relevant people and, over time, they will follow you back.
Make sure that you include photos in your Tweets so that people can know what you are offering. Add tags and a short caption to describe your art and spark interest in your audience. Bear in mind that people might only check out, or buy your art after they’ve seen it a couple of times somewhere, and that’s why being memorable is very important.
Set up a profile on Etsy
This is an excellent platform for all kinds of creative artists, especially those skilled in creating jewelry, clothes and other handmade items. The first thing to know about Etsy is that you can change your initial user name only once you’ve opened a shop. So, make sure that you use an adequate name that represents your brand, as it will stay that way forever. After you’ve done this, brand your profile with a photo, an avatar, a listing photo and a banner, all of which go well together. You should also create unique labels for your products, so that you can spread brand awareness offline as well.
Choose the best photos possible, as Etsy limits you to a maximum of 5 photos. When it comes to Etsy, it’s all about making a great first impression. Don’t post all of your art at once but rather post a couple of them each day. This will create a bit of a buzz and your products will appear much higher in searches.
Make your potential buyers feel pleasant, answer to all customer questions, don’t lie about shipping time and truly describe your products. Bear in mind that you probably won’t start selling your art straight away. It’s a process that might take a while, so be patient and improve your shop constantly.

Set up a profile on Amazon

Amazon is the largest website for retail stores. Most people think they are buying products from Amazon, however almost 35 % of the products on Amazon are offered by a third party. Registering on Amazon is quite easy. Simply scroll down to the bottom of the page and press the “sell on Amazon” button.
Choose the “sell as a professional” option and, with a few more tweaks, you are ready to go. Amazon is really good for selling unique and brand new art since the professional seller option gives you the ability to create listings for goods which aren’t currently sold on the site.
Another reason why you should choose the professional seller option is the fact that, if you want to be recognized as a unique label, you will have to register your brand, so that Amazon can offer its protection.
The best way to go is to sell with fulfillment by Amazon. This option requires you to send all of your art to Amazon and they will ship pieces when they are sold, they will also deal with refunds, returns and handle customer service. Because of the fact that Amazon is abundant with all kinds of products, including art, it can be very hard to get noticed in the crowd. This is why you should try and describe your products as best as you can, upload only the best photos and learn how to reprice products so that you can maximize sales and get the most out of each sale.

Build a website of your own

No matter how good all these stores or social networks may be, you still need to create a website that represents you as an artist. A website of your own will give you credibility as an artist, and on it, you can explain your art and its meaning even deeper. Furthermore, you can establish better communication with your clients, build a base of followers and brand your work even better. Once of the best platforms you can use to set up a simple Website is WordPress.
You simply go to the official WordPress site and follow the instructions that will make the whole thing more of a game rather than a serious process. Besides the fact that it’s easy to create a simple site, later on, when you need more, you can easily upgrade it to look more awesome and have more features. With your own site, you will create your own domain name that will help you build brand awareness, and since WordPress is a search engine friendly platform, people will find it easier to search for your art online.
These are the essentials for selling art online. After a while, you should look to enhance your business skills and enhance your marketing skills, finding ways to stay competitive, improving your customer service, etc. Bear in mind that it will take some time before you actually make any sales, so be patient and work on improving all of your stores and profiles while waiting for results.

SIMPLE WAYS TO MAKE EASY MONEY ONLINE

HERE ARE SOME SUPER EASY WAYS TO MAKE EASY CASH ONLINE:

How many articles are there about making money online? Thousands?  Millions? Enough? Probably. But there’s a problem. Too many of them are just sales pitches to convince you to sign up for some seminar, webinar, training session or some other way to become an online millionaire.
They really give online money making a bad name. But it is possible to make money online. I mean, the people selling all of those millionaire pitches are making money, right?
There are legitimate ways to make money online. The problem is that the real ways to make money aren’t “get rich quick” schemes.
Most of them require a lot of work and sometimes a lot of dedication before seeing a return on your time.  But if you really want to make money online, work from home or turn an idea into a business, you can do it. You can even earn money with apps if you don’t want to venture all the way to the computer.
I’m going to tell you about all kinds of legitimate ways to make money online.  Since we are talking about legitimate jobs, you’ve got to be…well, legitimate. Many of these options are real jobs that require you to put in hours if you want to get paid. They also require real work. Here are some tips for actually getting the job:
  • Take it seriously. Yes, you’re applying for an online job. Yes, you can do the work in your underwear, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a “real job”. You must treat it as such or they aren’t going to treat you as a serious candidate. You aren’t the only one who wants to work in their underwear. In fact, the competition online is likely higher than it is in your local area.
  • Be professional. When you submit a résumé, don’t type it in ALL CAPS and please don’t avoid the caps lock like the plague. Know how to use it without looking incompetent. Write in complete sentences with proper grammar. Of course, there will be exceptions, but even with the exceptions, you must keep it professional. You’re building their view of you.
  • Give some, but not all.  Whether you’re providing writing samples, a photography portfolio or links to your work, give them enough examples to get the idea, but not so many that they don’t even know where to start. And while we’re on the topic, give them some of your background information, but don’t tell them your life story.
  • Double check yourself, before you double wreck yourself. Make sure everything you send to a company, whether a résumé, an email or a portfolio, is good to go. Double check your grammar and wording, and for God’s sake use spell check! This is especially important when it comes to the company’s name. Don’t spell their name wrong and be sure to type it how they type it (e.g. Problogger, not Pro Blogger).

1. Websites That Pay

Let’s go ahead and get this out of the way. There are all kinds of websites that will pay you for various things, such as shopping, taking surveys or testing products. No, I’m not getting paid to promote any of these and no, these websites won’t make you a millionaire, but they are great for earning some extra cash. I’ll leave out the scams.
Here are some legitimate websites that pay:
  1. Swagbucks – Swagbucks is great for earning some extra cash. You can do a variety of things to make money, from taking surveys to using their search engine. You won’t get rich, but you will earn a few bucks. If you have the time to kill, you can spend it earning some extra cash, instead of surfing the web.
  2. InboxDollars – InboxDollars is similar to Swagbucks, since you’re going to be taking surveys, shopping, etc., so if you want to maximize your return, sign up with both websites. They also offer a search engine that pays you (like Swagbucks) and you get $5 just for signing up.  I won’t continue to list survey sites one after another down the list, but if you want to get paid to take surveys, also check out GlobalTestMarket, E-Poll Surveys and Survey Club.
  3. Project Payday – Project Payday is one of those sites that has testimonials of people who have earned thousands of dollars by getting paid to get trial offers. I’m not saying you’ll earn thousands, but it is legit and you can earn some extra cash. They assume that by paying you to do a free trial, you’ll either like the product and purchase it, or forget to cancel the trial and get charged for it. If you can keep track and cancel before you get charged (if you don’t want the product), then this is a great site for making some money.
  4. User Testing – User Testing pays $10 a pop for testing websites. A test usually takes about 15-20 minutes. The purpose is for a website owner to watch someone, who is new to their site, try to navigate it. The value that the site owner gets by watching an actual user experience is worth a ton, but $10 isn’t a bad pay-out.
  5. Fiverr – Fiverr is a great place to make a few bucks or spend a few bucks if you need some of the services people offer. Basically, everything is $5. You either pay $5 or charge $5. They call them “gigs.” You can offer your services however you choose. If you sell art and you’re fine selling pieces for $5 each, that’s a gig. If you’re a graphic designer and you want to offer your services for $10/hour, simply offer a 30 minute gig. If they need two hours of graphic design, they pay you $20, or $10/hour by buying four gigs.
  6. IZEA – IZEA works in addition to a blog or on its own. You get paid to blog, tweet, take photos and take videos. The pay is mostly based on your following, so if you want to make money with your tweets, you’ll need to grow you Twitter following.  Likewise, if you want to make money with blogs, you’ll need substantial blog traffic (more on blogging below).

2. Freelance Writing

Freelance writing is one of the most popular ways to earn money online. Many successful freelancers can earn an average of 50 cents to a dollar per word. Some are earning twice that!
Of course, it doesn’t start out like that. You’ve got to build your portfolio and your résumé, blah blah blah. If you’re interested in writing, I’m sure you know this. If you’re not interested in writing, I wouldn’t recommend traveling down this road just for the money.
It takes dedication and time, though it can be highly profitable if it’s what you love. Assuming it is what you love, let’s talk about making money with it.
Before you decide to start reaching out to all of these freelance writing companies, you need to have a web presence. You need a blog (in my humble blogger opinion, of course).
Or you could just have an online portfolio. Even a LinkedIn profile works to get started. When you’re ready to start, here are 150 resources to help you write better, faster and more persuasively.
If that’s intimidating, just start with these 50 resources.
Now for what you’ve all been waiting for; once you’re ready to actually start making money, here are 10 websites you can start with:
  1. Listverse – Listverse pays $100 for each accepted post. The article must be a list, it must be at least 1,500 words and you must include at least 10 things. Other than that, you can get pretty creative with it.
  2. TopTenz – TopTenz pays $50 for each accepted post. Again, the article has to be in a list format and it must be at least 1,500 words, with few exceptions. They post often so your chances of getting accepted are fairly high.
  3. A List Apart – A List Apart pays $200 for each accepted post. They’re not first on the list, because they tend to publish less articles, which means you have a smaller chance of getting accepted. Same guidelines as above, 1,500 word minimum.
  4. International Living – International Living pays $75 for each accepted post. They are mostly looking for travel experiences from countries you have visited. For this site, it’s more about your experience than your writing ability.
  5. FundsforWriters – FundsforWriters pays $50 for each accepted post. They are looking for articles about writing and making money with it. They only accept articles between 500-600 words, but they want you to make each word count.
  6. Uxbooth – Uxbooth pays $100 for each accepted post. They do tend to take four to eight weeks to accept and post articles, so don’t count on this being a quick money maker. They take so long, because they pair with editors to only publish amazing content.
  7. iWriter – iWriter pays up to $15 for each accepted post. That may seem small, but they aren’t as strict as many of the others above and they also allow you to pick exactly what you write. You can write as many or as few articles as you want.
  8. Textbroker – Textbroker pays up to five cents per word, if you’re a 5-star writer. You’ll start by submitting a short sample article and you will most likely start as a 3-star writer, but you can work your way up by writing more and writing great content.
  9. Matador Network – Matador Network pays up to $60 for each accepted post, but standard pay is around $20-$25. They don’t really focus on a minimum word count, but they have a maximum count of 1,500 words.
  10. The Penny Hoarder – The Penny Hoarder pays up to $800 (rarely), depending upon the number of page views you receive. The pay starts at $100 for 50,000 page views, so this isn’t a guaranteed paid article, but it can potentially be highly rewarding.
There’s no doubt that you can make money with freelance writing, but it’s a process. Once you start building your portfolio and your writing skills, you can start making some serious money. If you’re not an experienced writer, expect to put some time in before you really start to see some dough.

3. Sell Your Stuff

Ever since the idea of online auctions came into existence, the online selling market has been on the rise. Many are interested, but don’t know how to get started. There are still all kinds of ways to make money by selling online, whether you’re selling what you already have or buying and selling like a store. Before we get started, here are a few general tips when selling anything online:
  • Get a PayPal account. If you don’t have a PayPal account, you’ll want to get one if you’re doing business online. It’s the standard in online business for receiving payment and paying others.
  • Take good pictures. Some of the options below don’t require you to actually take the picture and sell the product, but for the ones that do, make sure you take a clear picture that makes your product stand out from the others.  If you’re going to be taking a lot of pictures, set up a small “studio-like” area in your home with a backdrop and proper lighting to really make your pictures come across as professional. And of course, you’ll want a good camera too.
  • Be honest.  If you’re selling used items, be honest about every dent, scratch, blemish, etc.. This will reduce many issues you could run into and keep your reviews positive.
  • Do good business. Plain and simple. Whether you’re selling on a small site or opening an online store, your customer service matters. You’ll want to get those positive reviews and make a good name for yourself. Respond to questions, concerns and complaints. Offer a guarantee if available.
Follow those guidelines and you will do well in online sales. When you’re ready to start selling, here’s where you go:
  1. Amazon – Have you heard of FBA? It stands for “Fulfilled by Amazon” and it’s getting pretty popular. Basically, you buy products (in bulk is best) and ship them to Amazon for them to store. When your products sell, Amazon packs them up, ships them out and sends you the money (after taking their cut). There are people making a full-time living from FBA, while others just do it for some extra money.
  2. CraigsList – Some things don’t ship very well. Other things may make you feel uncomfortable to sell to someone across the country. Anytime you’re selling a large item or something you just don’t want to ship, Craigslist is a great place to go. It’s simple to list your item (again, take good pictures!). If you don’t like the idea of putting your phone number out there, the interested individual can send you a message to your inbox without even getting your email address.
  3. eBay – Of course you can’t read an article about making money online that doesn’t mention eBay. You can start an eBay store and get serious about it or you can just sell some stuff to declutter your home. Either way, I’ve made my fair share from selling on eBay and it’s still a popular way to earn money. If you decide to start an actual eBay store, you’ll want to find a drop-ship business like Doba that will store and ship items straight to your customers so you don’t have to deal with an inventory.
  4. Etsy – If you like to create arts and crafts, you can sell them on Etsy. It’s completely free to open an Etsy store. You simply sign up, post pictures of your creations and starting selling. You can choose your payment option, but PayPal is generally the easiest. Etsy makes it easy to sell and keep track of your inventory. There is a small listing fee and they take 3.5% of every sale you make.
  5. Facebook – Facebook swap shops are great for selling things locally. It’s like CraigsList, but a little easier. You simply search for swap shops in your area and ask to join the group. Once you’re in, take a picture of the item, write a quick description with the price and post it. It doesn’t get much easier than that. You can generally expect to get about what you would get at a yard sale, maybe a little more.

4. Blogging

Hey look, an article about making money online that doesn’t mention blogging. . . oh wait, here it is.
First off, I’m a blogger so it seems wrong not to mention it, but more importantly, it’s a legitimate way to make money. It’s quite possibly the least straight-forward way on this list, but it’s very doable and it’s also quite possibly the funnest way on this list. I love blogging and I know hundreds of bloggers who feel the same. So let’s talk about making money blogging and what it really means.
Blogging is something that requires patience, persistence and discipline. It may mean writing everyday for over a year before you really start to see any money from it. There are exceptions to the rule, but from my dealings with other bloggers, it seems to be pretty common to spend one or even two years building your blog, your brand and your authority, before making any serious amount of money.
Some people argue that you can make money without a lot of traffic and while that is true in some circumstances, you will generally need a lot of website traffic to start earning from a blog and that takes a while. Once you’ve reached that point, here are the primary ways to monetize your blog and start earning:
  1. Advertising – This is definitely the most old-school way of earning money with a blog. It’s also starting to become the least common way. You can sell advertising spots directly on your site or you can sign up with a company like Google AdSense or Media.net. Either way, you won’t see a whole lot of money from ads until your views are well into the thousands each day.
  2. Affiliates – There are many affiliate networks, such as FlexOffers and CJ Affiliate that allow you to promote other people’s products and services. You simply put a link or a banner on your page and then you get a percentage if someone clicks through and buys the product/service. You’ll want to select products that are specifically within your blog’s category. This is an effective way to earn money once you have the traffic coming to your blog.
  3. Membership – Many people have created a paid membership area on their blog. This is typically for exclusive content that you can only access in the “member’s area.” If you have a really great idea on what to include, this can be a great idea.  You’ll have to create something that can’t easily be accessed around the web.
  4. Products – You can create your own product, such as an ebook or computer software. You would then use your blog as a promotion tool to get people to buy your product. As long as you create a legitimate product with a whole lot of value, you should be able to get some buyers, but like everything else with a blog, you’ll need the traffic to get the sells.
  5. Services – You can offer a paid service, such as life coaching, blog coaching, goal setting or financial planning. Just be sure to investigate all the legal implications and make sure you’re not claiming to be a professional if you’re not one. With a service like this, you’re basically using your blog to sell yourself. You’ll need to convince people that you’re worth buying and then be able to back up your claims once they purchase your service.
  6. Sponsored/paid posts – Many blogs publish sponsored and paid posts. Sponsored posts are basically just posts about a specific brand, product or service. A company will pay you to publish an article about it. It’s similar with other paid posts as well. Your basically selling the spot for the article on your site. If you decide to take this route, you’ll want to build your traffic before you will get many offers.
  7. Subscription – If you think of something valuable (newsletter, online magazine, etc.) that you can consistently offer on a certain basis (weekly, monthly, etc.), you may want to offer a subscription service. This could be a fee charged each time your product is sent out or on a monthly basis. Either way, this has to be something that your customers can only get by subscribing to your website.
  8. Videos – This could be an entire section on it’s own. Many people have made money by creating YouTube videos. Evan of EvanTube is a kid and he has made millions by creating reviews of products that other kids his age would use. It’s not easy to get views into the millions, but once you do, you’ll start seeing some cash come in. Many bloggers have completely turned to videos to get their point across by starting a video blog.
If you’re truly interested in becoming a blogger, start by looking through the archives of ProBlogger, Copyblogger and Boost Blog Traffic. Then go read through all the free guides over at Quick Sprout. It may take you a year to complete those tasks alone, but it will be worth it. You’ll practically have a MBA in blogging.

5. Work-at-Home Companies

Finally, there are some companies that will hire you to work from the comfort of your own home. If you’re interested in working for someone else, while still making your own schedule and deciding where to work from, here are a few companies that will let you do just that:
  1. CrowdSource – CrowdSource offers many types of jobs from “microtask” jobs to larger writing and editing jobs. You decide how much you work and you can do most of it right at your computer.
  2. Demand Studios – Demand Studios is hiring all kinds of creative professionals, from writer to filmmakers. The pay isn’t amazing, but it’s competitive for a work-at-home job.
  3. Fast Chart – Fast Chart allows you to work from home as a medical transcriptionist. There are some requirments and qualifications listed on the page, but if you meet them, you’ll make competitive pay for the industry. You’ll also be able to set your own schedule since you’ll be working from home.
  4. Leap Force – Leap Force is one way that Google rates websites for search engine ranking. If you’re hired, you make decent money (usually over $11/hour), you set your own schedule and it can be pretty fun to view and rank websites.
  5. Liveops – Liveops is a call center that allows you to work from home. Once your set up to take the calls, you can begin making a weekly schedule and working from home. The pay is generally close to $10/hour, but you can earn more with commissions.
  6. SpeakWrite – SpeakWrite will pay you up to $15/hour to transcribe information. You set your own schedule and work from home.

Dwayne "the rock" Johnson left out Vin diesel in an instagram post

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Vin Diesel are still on turbulent terms.
The Rock took to Instagram on Friday night to thank "Fast and Furious" director F. Gary Gray, along with his fellow co-stars, but the former pro-wrestler left out one big name — Vin Diesel.
Earlier this month, Johnson, 44, referred to some of his male co-stars as "chicken s--t" and "candy a--es," in a jab directed at co-star Diesel, according to reports.
The feud reportedly stems from the "Central Intelligence" star's disappointment in how Diesel, 49, was handling his production responsibilities for the eighth installment of the franchise.

Johnson and Diesel held a secret meeting to hash out their differences on set, but nothing was resolved, TMZ reported. Diesel later shared a Facebook video in which he cryptically addressed the drama.
"Proud of our collective, stay positive — I mean that — don't beat anybody up," he said, smiling.
At the end of The Rock's Instagram post on Friday, he added that he is "Proud of our entire FAST FAMILY."
Although in his initial diatribe, he wrote, "no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one."

4 tips for indie music makers

1.Don’t Just Give it Away.... Get Their Email Addresses:
Trade your content for an email address. Many fans aren’t willing to pay for your music. That’s okay. But get SOMETHING for it. An email is next best. Artists who exchange email address and permission to market for a song download grow their mailing list 600% faster than those who do not. ReverbNation has offered this feature (as simple as checking a box on a song you upload) for almost 2 years and it works.

                2.Consistently Give Out New Material:
Since I started posting either new videos or new songs every month, the open-rate on my emails has gone up drastically. And I’m getting emails from the friends of friends who have forwarded them on. I’ve been asked to do two high-profile benefits in the last month, one from someone who had never even heard of me before.

               3.Don’t Measure Yourself Monetarily:
The key seems to be not to measure your indie music success by monetary standards and increased sales… I can’t measure mine that way at all… I don’t have anything for sale (yet)…. The key is asking yourself: How do these tools move you forward toward bigger things happening in your career?

Don’t Suck
4.No amount of marketing can make up for a total lack of talent– this is why people don’t want to spend $20 on major label CD’s anymore. 25 years of piano and a music degree doesn’t guarantee I’ll be a success, but it gives me one hell of an advantage. I try to keep myself sharp and never assume I’m good enough. Even long-time pro baseball players go through spring training every year. If nothing else, I find that surrounding myself with talent raises the bar for my own ambitions. I listen to Ben Folds to inspire my production and piano abilities, I follow people like Ariel Hyatt and Amanda Palmer to improve my outreach, I keep a steady stream of Pat Monahan on my Pandora list to hear what kick ass vocals sound like. I always want to be on my toes.

6 ways to promote your song online

here are six way you can promote your song online:

1. Live Music Promotion

With everything moving more and more towards digital, it’s easy to forget about the value of the person-to-person interaction. These days, you can create great quality music, release it, distribute it, promote it, and even play live without ever leaving your room. But, just because you can release something entirely online doesn’t mean you should! In fact, these personal interactions are still extremely important in the music industry.
The live show is so much more than just performing. You can use gigs to promote your music, new album, or song. Tell your fans that you’ll be premiering a new song, or, if you want to go all out, tell them you’ll be playing the whole album at one show over the next month or two. The trick is not to tell anyone which is the lucky show.
If your fans really want to hear the album early, they’ll have to come to all the shows. You could also use gigs to grow a fanbase in new cities, states, or countries. Work with a local established band and propose a headline swap – you’ll open for them in their home town and they’ll open for you in your home town. Just make sure you pick a band with a similar musical style.

2. Use Social Media to Promote Your Music

We all use social media. These days, if you’re not on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, it’s almost like you don’t exist. However, you may not be using social media to it’s full potential to promote your music. Social media is not a straight-up marketing platform. It’s really a catalyst for conversation and word-of-mouth marketing. About 80% of your posts should be funny, conversational, and interesting, leaving about 20% for promotional material.
That’s not to say that conversational posts can’t be promotional! You just need to learn how to frame the content in interesting ways. For example, if you’re in the studio recording a new album, try sprinkling little updates on social media. Tell a story about your studio experience that day, share a photo of the mix, or post a short teaser Vine of a song. If you’re out on tour, take photos at the venues or share short videos or photos of the audiences. These things aren’t obviously promotional, but they still let fans know what’s going on.
Check out these musician power tools for more info on promoting your music via social media.

3. Promote Your Music on Your Website

Your website shouldn’t be a static thing. It should be ever adapting and changing to reflect new events in your career. Basically, you want your fans stopping by your website as often as possible. The more often they’re on your site, the more chances they have to buy an album, merch, tickets, or any other product you have available.
If you’re just starting out, you probably don’t have a lot of big updates other than the occasional album release and tour. Running a blog is a great solution. It’s fairly easy to set up a blog on the homepage of your website. Most website tools like Bandzoogle, and WordPress, have blog capabilities. Plan out blog posts at regular intervals like once or twice a week and share anything you think your fans would find interesting. This could be the inspirations behind certain songs, new lyrical ideas you’re working on, a funny story from the last band practice, or even a run-down of the gear you use.

4. Music Blogs

If you want to promote your music, it isn’t just about sharing things with your fans. You also want to reach out to new audiences and convert them to fans, and music blogs are a great way to do that. Bloggers are always looking for fresh, new content, and the cool thing is, there are a ton of smaller blogs that are totally within your reach as an indie artist. Blogs also tend to have a pretty niche following. This means that if your music is run on a blog, it’s guaranteed to be seen by people who already like the genre!
Do some research, find blogs that cover your type of music, and send personal emails out to the bloggers. Are there any interesting stories about your new album, song, or tour? Having a unique story will definitely help you stand out from the thousands of other musicians releasing an album. Make it as easy as possible for them to cover your story and treat them like people. Remember, it’s all about establishing a relationship.

5. Collaborate with Other Musicians

Collaboration is an often overlooked aspect of music promotion. It’s a great way to get your music in front of another group of people and make new fans. You can collaborate on pretty much anything. Just make sure you collaborate with musicians whose fans would appreciate your music. Choose to work with bands in a similar genre or with similar fanbase demographics.
The headline trade strategy we looked at earlier in this article is a great option. You could also work together on a song or album. If you don’t want to dedicated too much time, record a cover song or two together and release them on your YouTube channels. The key is to drive your fans to each other. If you create a song or video, link to each other’s websites. If it’s a gig, try to drive your fans to each other’s merch table to pick up a CD.

6. Email Marketing

Your email list is an extremely valuable tool to promote your music. Unlike collaboration and blogs, your email list is marketing to your current fan base. If someone signed up for your email list, they want to hear from you, so take advantage of it! Remember, your emails should be driving your fans to your website, so you want to include links.
The obvious use of an email list is to let your fans know when you have an album coming out or a tour. You can also use your email list to send fans to your blog. Remember, you want to get your fans on your website as often as possible.
